Ashburton Community Alcohol & Drug Service (ACADS)

ACADS provides confidential face to face counselling, assessment of substance abuse issues, referral to residential treatment, education and information, groups and family support. A Drving While Impaired programme is available for those living in Mid-Canterbury.
ACADS also has a Youth Service that offers support to 12-24 years who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health and/or addiction issues, as well as those with early presentations of problems or stress for those living in the Mid-Canterbury District.
People can have one to one appointments, have a whanau member or support person with them, be seen at school, home or in the communiy. All services are free, for a flexible period of time, depending on need.
