Pillars - Ka Pou Whakahou

Pillars can provide two main services to families who are affected by imprisonment. Once whānau have completed the Whānau Wrap Around Programme, they can then become eligible for the Mentoring Programme.

• Whānau Wrap Around Programme – 12-month home-based social work support
• Pillars Mentoring Programme – Mentoring programme for tamariki aged 5 to 17 years old

To be referred, the child/children will have a parent who is currently incarcerated or under some form of restriction from Corrections. People may self-refer or be referred by a variety of services, including but not limited to: Social workers in schools, Corrections, Oranga Tamariki, NGO support services, DHBs, ACC, and Ministry of Health.
