Odyssey House has been running in Christchurch since 1985, and supporting individuals, whanau and communities with addiction and mental health concerns. We provide residential, community, day and prison based programmes.

  • Residential Men’s Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Programme: 17+ years of age. Includes post programme outreach support. Agency referral required.
  • Residential Youth Male and Female AOD Programme: 14-18 years of age. Includes post programme outreach support. Agency referral required.
  • Residential Women’s Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Programme: 17+ years of age. Includes post programme outreach support. Agency referral required.
  • Day Programme for men and women who need intensive support around their drug and alcohol use, runs at various time throughout the week and weekend.
  • Youth Male and Female AOD Day Programme: 13-18 years of age. Includes post programme outreach support. Agency referral required.
  • AOD Assessment Service: Adult alcohol and drug assessment and treatment in the community and in the prison system.
  • Driving Change Group: A recidivist drink driving group for people with three or more EBA (excess breath/blood alcohol) convictions.
  • AOD Support Groups: ‘24/7’ - A rational recovery based support group, and ‘Friday Group’ - a support group focus on planning for the weekend.
  • Community Youth Mental Health and AOD Service: 13-18 year old male or female youth can be agency or self-referred for treatment/counselling/support for mental health and/or alcohol and other drugs issues.
  • 65 Alive: A coexisting capable service for people over 65 who experience significant alcohol and/or other drug issues. We support other services working with older people experiencing alcohol and other drug issues.
  • Methamphetamine Help: A phone based counselling service for people experiencing a problem relating to methamphetamine.
  • Take Charge – working alongside young adults with mental health concerns to support them with employment or training opportunities. Referrals via MSD or self referral
  • Supported accommodation for wahine who have completed a drug treatment programme in New Zealand. Referral from alcohol and drug treatment programmes
  • Christchurch Central Service – screening and brief intervention for people with concerns around their alcohol/drug use.
